The Importance of Divine Help in Our Lives

Some days ago, I heard a brief back and forth chatter between my daughter and husband, which I assume it stemmed from her brushing him off because his response to her was, “Ok, I was just trying to help you because you need it.”

My daughter, Kamryn, has reached the stage where she feels that she no longer needs help from her dad and I.

We would see that she needs help and would offer to help her but she’d decline and make the attempt to do it herself, only to later discover that she really does need our help.

In the same way, there are many Christians that are brushing away the help God is offering.

Some people think that just because they have memorized scripture, been in the church for a long time, or has become successful in their talent, they don’t need help from the Holy Spirit.

The truth is, we do need His help.

It is He that makes it all possible for us to move freely and do what needs to get done.

He wants us to partner with Him in everything we do because without Him, we will fail.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5 NIV
