The Power of Patience: Waiting with Expectation

My daughter came down stairs to ask me to change the show on her tv.

I told her that I’d be upstairs shortly to change it.

Though she left the doorway of my office, I could still hear her hanging out near my door, waiting for me.

She was patiently waiting in expectation because she believed that I would do exactly what I said I’d do.

It was just a matter of time that I would.

This moment reminded me of what patience looks like.

Patience isn’t the time we wait; it is our behavior and attitude as we wait.

Are we patient as we wait on God to do just what He told us He’d do?

Though people may fail us, God will never fail us nor break His promises.

“For no word from God will ever fail.”

Luke 1:37 NIV
