As we waited for the school bus to arrive, I repeatedly told my daughter, Kailani, to eat her breakfast.
She continuously refused.
After a minute or so the bus arrived.
She then wanted to make up the time to eat her breakfast, but it was too late.
From a spiritual perspective, we must consume the Word of God [and live it] before the Son arrives.
The Father provides the Word so that we have what we need to nourish our mind, body, and soul.
If we fail to consume the spiritual food that is placed before us, we won’t be ready when the Son arrives and it’ll be too late to make up for what we refused to do in the first place.
The Father’s grace is why we’re still here to take a seat at His table, accept what He has offered, and be filled with goodness.
“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
Matthew 24:44 NIV
