Overcoming Temptation: Seeking God’s Help

Whenever my children are about to do something that shouldn’t be done, they’d always look back at me or my husband to see if either one of us is watching them.

Looking to us, as their parents, is the right thing to do; however, turning to do wrong is the problem.

After we, the children of God, become aware of what is right and what is wrong, we are then held accountable for our actions.

When there is opportunity to do wrong, we must take a moment to look to the Father for help, strength, and the right thing to do.

Believing and knowing that God is omnipresent and omniscient ought to be what fuels us to do the right thing and stay far away from doing wrong.

When we look to the Father, we are, at that very moment, able to receive all the help we need.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”

Psalm 121:1-2 KJV
