Many times, I sit and observe the behaviors of my children. One of the things that I’ve noticed is how much my youngest baby watch her two older siblings and proceeds to do the same exact thing they’ve done.
To be quite honest, this has made parenting a bit easier by the time we had her. She was able to learn many things from her siblings before we really had the chance to teach her ourselves.
In the same way, we have a big brother by the name of Jesus. We have His very actions and reactions, responses, and attitudes on record so that we can follow in His steps.
The blessing is knowing that He will never lead us astray nor tell us to do anything He didn’t do, would never do, or would be disapproved by God.
God, the Father, encourages us to deny what we may want to do and, instead, follow Jesus.
Living in this manner is what labels us as true followers of Jesus; and every true follower can expect great eternal rewards.
