Just Do It

Since my major Spring cleaning, my son now knows where his dirty laundry, shoes, trash, and toys are to go in order to consistently keep his room clean.

Lately, I’ve gone into his room and seen a mess, disorganization, and uncleanliness.

The condition of his room didn’t result this way due to him not knowing where things go and how his room should be done daily, rather it was because he wasn’t applying what he knew to do.

I believe that the number one reason why people is disorganized, unclean, and their life is a mess is because they are not applying the knowledge of God that they know to do.

People know that prayer changes things and people, yet they don’t pray. As a result, lives and situations break apart.

People know that times will get hard, yet they don’t save money and prepare. As a result, they get overwhelmed by the troubles of life,

People know that God has good plans for them, yet they remain persistent in not trusting Him and keeping to their own path and doing what they feel is best for them. As a result, ruin and destruction becomes their portion – and they blame God for it.

It is not okay that the children of God knows how God wants things put together and done in their lives, yet they don’t apply it.

Father God desires that we be doers of His Word – not just people that hear and know the Word.

He wants is to live clean, organized, and productive lives so that we can receive His blessings, protection, favor, and most importantly, eternal rewards.

Today, God is coming into each of our spiritual homes (our hearts) and looking around to see what is out of place, what shouldn’t be there, and what needs to be there but isn’t.

What do you see happening in your home and what do you know to do to fix it?

I challenge you today to do it!

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬-‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬
