One of very few things that can get me to jump out of bed or have me to stop what I’m doing is my children telling me that they are hungry.
One particular early morning, my youngest daughter came into the bedroom and walked over to my husband’s side of the bed first to tell him that she was hungry.
[Ohh my mama’s invisible antennas stood straight up at attention as my baby said those words.]
Then she walked over to my side of the bed and repeated what she already told her father.
And of course, I got up. As tired as I was. My eyes were still shut as I slowly walked down the stairway to the kitchen.
Nevertheless, I fed my baby.
In the same way, we have a Heavenly Father that is attentive to every need we have.
When we go to Him with a hunger and thirst – for holiness and righteousness, there will never be a time when He don’t answer us.
He’ll move on our request immediately – absolutely no hesitation.
God’s love for us causes Him to move when no else will.
God’s love for us causes Him to hear us when no one else can.
God’s love for us causes Him to feed and fill us because no one else can satisfy our true hunger and thirst.
Indeed, we serve a Mighty God; and we also have a Mighty God that serves us with life, health, strength, and daily bread.
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”
Psalm 37:25 NIV
