I often teach my children how to be loving, kind, and gentle to people by demonstrating how it looks using their teddy bear or baby dolls as examples.
Anytime they claimed that the doll was hurt, they’d bring it to me and I’ll pretend to care for it as we would a human.
There was a time that my daughter brought her teddy bear to me, telling me that its knee was hurt. Instead of me doing what I normally did, which was to take care of the hurt bear, I gave the bear back to her and told her to fix the problem.
I didn’t do this to make her feel that I didn’t care about the hurt teddy bear, rather I did it to let her know that she have the same ability, the same power, and the same knowledge to do everything I’ve done and shown her how to do.
Jesus did the same to His disciples.
But it required them to have faith to successfully do everything Jesus taught and empowered them to do.
Praying for others to be healed, free, restored, and saved is always good and important. However, we must not always depend on the Father to do all the work when we also have the power and authority to lay hands on and help others.
Keep in mind that we are the hands and feet of Jesus that was left to complete the work He started on earth.
What He has the ability and authority to do, we do as well.
We can be confident that the power that is within us will never fail and is able to do great and mighty things.
Thank you Father for your power!
“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
