As I sat here and made a weekly payment to my daughter’s daycare provider, I can’t help but to think about the price that Jesus paid for us.
A price that we knew nothing about.
My daughter is only conscious of the fact that she gets to show up everyday to this place that cares for her, feeds her, read and teach her new things, and help her become a better version of herself.
She doesn’t know the price that her parents pay to make sure she has access to this place.
She doesn’t know the sacrifices that we have had to make to ensure that the daycare gets paid.
There were times that we gave up something that we desired so that she can continue to get the care and education she needs.
She doesn’t know the cost.
She doesn’t even know when we pay the daycare or how we pay the daycare.
In the same way…
We don’t know the price Jesus paid for us to live free.
We don’t know the depths of all that He sacrificed so that we can continue to show up and get the access, provisions, and resources from the Father.
We don’t know when or how many times He has had to show up in rooms to alter plans and agreements or touch people’s hearts and minds so that they may favor you, protect you, promote you, or even sow into you.
But, what we do know is that we have a good and faithful Father that loves us so much, that He’s willing and able to pay the ultimate price so that we have whatever it is that He wants us to have.
Do you truly know the price that He has paid for you? Because once you find out and understand, you will begin to show up for Him with a heart full of love and gratitude for all that He’s done, all that He is doing, and all that He will do for you – for us!
That is love.
A priceless love.
