The Gift That Keeps On Giving

A couple of days after my daughter’s birthday, I picked up a toy that was gifted to her and could already tell that she was done playing with it – literally.

I then looked over and noticed a manual that was still in the box that the toy was packaged in.

I concluded that she was done with using the toy because she felt like there wasn’t anything much she can do with it.

But then, God spoke to me as I flipped through the manual and seen the several functions of the toy it had and how beneficial it could help my daughter – even with school work. I actually thought it was cool myself.

Then I received this revelation:

How many times do we refuse to pick up our manual – the Word of God, and miss out on the opportunities to know the manufacturer – God Himself?

We will never know the countless number of benefits – Promises of God, until we have read the manual – the Word of God.

We will never know where our gifts originated from, until we have read the manual.

We will never know what our gifts were made for, until we read have the manual.

And just like most toys need batteries, will never know what we need in order to activate our gifts that was given to us, until we have read the manual.

When most people are gifted something, the one thing that is commonly kicked to the side or overlooked is the manual.

It’s the manual that gives us a full, detailed presentation of a thing. And no matter how much we think we know how to operate something or benefit from it, if the manual is not read, we won’t know everything we need to know about it.

Furthermore, we won’t know what to do if there’s a malfunction because the manual wasn’t read as it should have been.

In the same way, we must read the living and active Word of God – the Bible.

No life experience, no level of education, and no hard guess can tell us everything we need to know about life God gifted us and how to live through it.

God, Himself, has given us the greatest gift in physical form, His Word.

This is the manual that shows and instructs us on how to live a full and prosperous life in and with God on earth.

Many people have given up, is currently giving up, and will give up on life because they fail to pick up and read the manual that entails the life-giving power, peace, promises, and weapons of God.

This doesn’t have to be our story because we were given the ultimate story of a Man that sacrificed Himself so that we may receive the gift of life; but we must read the manual to find out the Truth, the Way, and the Life.
