The Sound

Each one of my children have a distinct sound in their cry.

They can either all be in the same room or in different rooms, yet I can still specify each of their cries.

If a family member or friend was to come into our home and hear someone crying without seeing who it was, they would ask, “Who is crying?”

Because of the relationship and time spent with each of my children, I would know.

Because of the countless times I’ve cared for each of my children, I would know.

Because of the times I’ve answered their calls in the past, I would know.

Because they are close to me and I am close to them on a daily basis, I would know.

Father God, too, knows His children’s cry.

When He created us, that was the moment He knew everything about us – even the distinct sound in our cry.

He’s always ready to answer our call.

He’s faithful to answer according to His will and plan for our lives.

He’s a good Father that has promised us good things. We just have to trust Him as we wait on Him to answer our sound.
