Strength For The Weak

There are times my son, Kyzer, become frustrated and overwhelmed, and furthermore, want to give up on his homework – which is designed to challenge him and cause him to grow wiser academically.

At the split moment of wanting to give up, his father and I would do whatever needed to get him back in good spirits so that he can make it through his homework time.

Sometimes we may give him a snack, a juice box, or even allow him to take a 5 to 10 minute break. But the one thing we do not allow him to do is quit.

In the same way, when the children of God are faced with a challenge that seems frustrating or difficult, God not only sees and understands, but He also give us what we need to complete the work that is necessary to help us grow, become wiser, and even become stronger than before.

In the most challenging times of our lives, though there may be frustration and tiredness, God provides us with the grace, strength, peace, rest, and fuel so that we can move on to the next thing that He’s pressing us towards.

No challenge that we face is too great for God. At the very moment that things seem overbearing, remember that Father God is there to both accompany us and take up the heavy weight on us.

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
1 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV
