Quite often, I randomly gift my children with a new toy as my way to express my love and remind them that they are always on my heart.
Recently, when I handed a new toy to my daughter, Kailani, she happily gasped and smile from ear to ear as she asked the question, “For me?”
“Yes, of course, it’s for you”, I responded.
As I watched her open the case that caged the toys, I then began to think of how satisfying it must be for God to gift His children things that they didn’t think they had a privilege to receive.
Every gift and blessing serves as a reminder that we are on the Father’s heart and that He loves us so much.
As heirs, we can expect to receive an abundance of blessings and goodness from the Father. Though, the most precious gift of them all is eternal life with Him – a gift worth dying for.
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Romans 8:17 NIV
