Like Father, Like Son

Everywhere we go, someone reminds my husband and I who our children resembles the most.

Sometimes, they resemble me while other times, they resemble him. There also, have been some people that claims that there is an “even mix” of our looks in the faces of our children.

The question of the matter is, who do you resemble?

The world or Christ?

Or…… do people get a mix of the two?

When God created human beings, He created them to resemble Him in character and attitude, creativity, mind, body, soul, and spirit.

When our children walk into rooms, there has always been someone that yells, “You look just like your mama/daddy!”

Well……..

Can people say that you look just like Christ, in your walk? In your talk? In your posture?

This is not something to take lightly. When it is time to leave the rooms God puts us in, people ought to say, “I encountered Christ because ___(Your name)___ has His likeness so much so that I want to also be like Him and less like the world.”

When Father God looks at us, He desires to see a reflection of Himself. This can only happen if His Holy Spirit is within us. His spirit will cause us to be joyful, peaceful, radiant, kind, and loving from the inside-out.

Ohh how beautiful we become when Christ Jesus’ DNA runs through our blood!

"Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him."
