Run To God

As I laid in the bed and reminisced on everything that took place that day, I thought of how my children run to me for literally EVERYTHING.

When they are happy… they run to me..

When they are sad… they run to me..

When they are upset.. they run to me..

When there is a need.. they run to me..

Even when I discipline them.. they run to me..

Question is, “As children of God, do we run to Him for everything? Even when He disciplines us?”

God never intended us to run from Him, but instead, to run to Him for EVERYTHING.

This simply means that we be absolutely dependent on Him and trust Him to meet us where we are so that He can tend to our every need, whether it’s a physical, mental, spiritual, financial, marital, parental, or emotional need.

Furthermore, His discipline, with lovingkindness, is also intended to draw us to Him so that we be aligned with Him in character and holiness, and His will for our lives.

God encourages His children to come to Him for rest, love, peace, and guidance.

This is a welcome that no one in this world can offer.

Will you choose to run to Him today?
