When my daughter, Kailani, dropped her head and sunk into her feelings, I simply began to build her up by letting her know how proud I am of her and the fact that she’s loved, beautiful, smart, bold, powerful, chosen, and special.
Even though she doesn’t fully understand all that I see her as yet, I speak this into her life because that’s how I see her, regardless of her mistakes, failures, and shortcomings.
This makes me wonder about the great number of people that doesn’t know how God sees them in whatever phase of life they’re in.
Most people, at some point, have been convinced that they’ve messed up so bad, that God wants to have nothing to do with them and has changed His mind about them.
But the truth is, God’s love and perspective of His children never changes.
In fact, there’s nothing we can do nor say that can separate us from the love of God.
Because of Father God’s great love for us, He still sees us as His beloved, chosen, and special people.
He sees us righteous, even when we chose to live unrighteously.
He sees us mighty and strong, even in our in weaknesses.
He sees us as a bold and confident people, even when we feel insecure and fearful.
He sees us as such because of His Son, Christ Jesus, who makes us clean and shapes us into all that God says we are.
We ARE all that God says we are!
We CAN DO all that God says we can do!
We HAVE all that God says we have!
What God says about us, His children, is final and we can hold our heads up and walk confidently as we conform to our identity in Christ Jesus.
“For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. And those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified [declared free of the guilt of sin]; and those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity].”
