It’s amazing how we can look at our children and instantly know how they’re feeling or what mood they might be in. They’ll never be able to hide anything from us because little do they know, they were studied and known all about since birth.
I find it a bit humorous when I see parents tell their child(ren) to go take a nap because they can tell that the child is sleepy, but the child denies it and tries to stay awake as long as possible.
Parents know how much rest is necessary for every human being, including themselves. Life involves ongoing work; whether it’s going to school, running a business, or chasing little ones around the house and sweeping cereal off the floor.
Father God himself took some time to rest from all His work [Genesis 2:2]. The term “rest” does not necessarily mean “to sleep”; however, it does refer to peace and inward quietness and meditation on God-given tasks, assignments, and purposes.
A person does not have to be physically, mentally, or spiritually tired to rest. Rest can be done when a person wants more of God’s glory.
During peak times of our lives, God will call us to go deeper in prayer, His Word, and in His presence. This is so that we be continually rooted in Him and is aligned with His purposes and plans for our lives.
My rest time is now.
I need more of God.
I want to grow stronger and wiser in Him.
This is necessary for my next step of faith.
As I keep the MOMents community in prayer, I ask that you keep me in your prayers during the month of July 2025 as I take this time to rest in God’s presence.
I am forever grateful for every moment we’ve spent together thus far and I am excited for the moments to come!
Love, Tiffany
