Love In Action

One evening as I was cooking dinner, I looked over to the living room where my children sat and seen that the oldest two were not quite being nice to one another.

Though I did not like what I was seeing, I stood and watched them from the distance without doing and saying anything at the moment.

Minutes later, things got a bit heated between the two and my daughter thought it was necessary to strike my son on the leg.

As soon as she did, she immediately looked up at me and noticed that I seen everything before she could give a false narrative that he was the problem.

They both faced disciplinary actions as consequences due to their failure to be kind to one another.

In the same way, adults are found to behave in this same way, thinking that no one sees or hears the wrongful acts and words that are said to one another, including strangers.

When we realize that God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent, we understand that our every move and word is seen and heard, and that we must give an account for them – whether they are good or evil.

The question of the matter is: Regardless of how people decide to treat us, are we loving and being kind to all people in word and deed?

Christ’s love for everyone – regardless of sin, race, or background, remained the same because He understood that His Father seen all and knew all; and also because He knew of the important fact that loving people was the heart of Father God.

Christ is our example to imitate at all times.

This is the love and kindness that can only come from Father God.

" A gentle response defuses anger,
but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire.
Knowledge flows like spring water from the wise;
fools are leaky faucets, dripping nonsense.
God doesn’t miss a thing—
he’s alert to good and evil alike.
Kind words heal and help;
cutting words wound and maim.
Moral dropouts won’t listen to their elde
rs;
welcoming correction is a mark of good sense.
The lives of God-loyal people flourish;
a misspent life is soon bankrupt.
Perceptive words spread knowledge;
fools are hollow—there’s nothing to them.
God can’t stand pious poses,
but he delights in genuine prayers.
A life frittered away disgusts God;
he loves those who run straight for the finish line.
It’s a school of hard knocks for those who leave God’s path,
a dead-end street for those who hate God’s rules.
Even hell holds no secrets from God—
do you think he can’t read human hearts?
