A Mess In The Message

For me, some of the greatest lessons about life come when it seems like my home is messy and things are a tad bit off track.

Even in this, I can honestly say that God has a fine way of helping and teaching me how to get things back in order all while He make the necessary adjustments in my heart.

Some time last week, I began teaching my youngest daughter, Kamryn, how to put things in their rightful places.

Dirty diapers go into the trash..

Toys goes into the toy bin..

Laundry goes into the tote that sits in the laundry room….and so on.

From this lesson, the main objective is to learn how to organize things in order to prevent clutter in every area of our lives.

Clutter is unnecessary and has the ability to get in the way, keeping us from seeing the things that needs to be in clear view.

As long as we desire and pursue a life free of unnecessary clutter, God will continuously teach us how to manage our lives by putting things in its rightful places – including people.

Most people can feel an uneasy imbalance in their life and would take immediate action, which as a result, would cause even more issues on top of the existing ones.

But have we ever sat to take a moment and ask God, what should be done or how do I handle this or that?

More than likely, He will have us to get rid of things or people that is not producing any good fruit in our lives, and then put what’s left in order.

What’s left is simply known as “priorities.”

When we begin to take heed to God’s Word that teaches us how to declutter, clean up, and organize things, our lives then become clear, open, and available to God and His rich blessings.

He never wants us to carry, live with, or deal with anything or anyone that can take up time, space, and even distract us from seeing [and experiencing] the life He has planned for us long ago.

"So throw all spoiled virtue and cancerous evil in the garbage. In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.
But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God—the free life!—even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action.
