Your Presence Makes the Difference

Each time I leave one room and go into another, my children follow. They can be in the middle of playing with their toys, watching a movie, or even playing with their dad.

Where mama goes, the children will follow.

This past weekend, God had me to observe how my youngest daughter, Kamryn, was at first playing with her toys, but when she noticed that I left the room and was headed upstairs, she got up to follow me. When she laid eyes on me, she sat down, found another toy, and continued playing.

After observing this, I knew that my presence gave her a sense of peace, comfort, and security of some sort.

This brought me to the moment of Moses (Exodus 33) when He refused to be separated from the Presence of God.

Moses was sure to believe that God’s presence was his protection, his peace, his guide, his light, and everything he needed in the moment (and the moments that were to come).

The very Presence of God made the difference in his life.

Many mothers around the world refuse to answer the call that God has placed on their life because they feel that they are not equipped and no different than the rest of the population. But indeed, this is a lie of the enemy.

We ARE different because the Spirit of the living God rest in us.

When we show up, whether for our children, family, or friends, we carry something that makes the difference.

A person can be in a room full of people but still feel alone and empty, but when we walk in, their world changes.

We were made to nurture and love. This is not a temporary duty. Rather, this is a life-long duty that extends further beyond our children.

Our duty to show up, in the same way God’s presence does, goes deep within one’s heart.

Whenever our presence goes missing, it is noticed.

Important questions we must ask ourselves:

How quickly can we notice whether God is present or absent in our hearts, our homes, our communities, and churches and what is your response?

Do you follow His presence or remain in the place where He isn’t?

A MOMent to Reflect:

Transition is not always easy, but whenever it is God-led, it’s necessary.

Just like Moses, God’s presence may lead us to some very challenging situations that makes us feel uncomfortable, unqualified, or incapable. While these feeling may be factual, as we follow Him, the results will be undenying that HE made it all possible.

In the beauty of His Presence, we will find true peace, security, and love.

This makes all the difference.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
"
