The Right Perspective

Whenever my son, Kyzer, is sitting around me while I’m on my phone, he’ll get as close as he can to me to look into the reflection of my glasses to see what it is that I’m looking at on my phone. (This is pure nosiness by the way, lol).

Since really studying his ways now that he’s growing older and seeing how he responds to things, I’ve discovered that he do not like being seen by anyone that I might be on a video call with. So this makes him aware of whether He should stick around or leave until I am done.

Some days ago, as he was looking into my lens to see my view, it made me think on the importance of us (parents) looking into God’s perspective.

As human beings, it’s our default response to see people and situations in a natural state and judge or respond based on what is seen.

But how many times do we take a moment to see from God’s perspective by asking ourselves questions like,

How does God view this matter?”

What does He say about this in His Word?

How does He instruct me to handle something or someone?

When we take matters into our own hands, things can get a bit messy due to the lack of wise counsel and failure to consider God’s perspective.

There’s a right path that God desires us to follow. But in order to do so, our vision must be aligned with His.

How can we do this?

Simply by looking into His Word.

Then we would know His good and perfect will for our lives.

A MOMent to Reflect:

Vision is vital.

But what’s even more important is to possess spiritual vision because although people can see in the natural, they can be spiritually blind.

And of course, there are people that is blind in the natural, yet they can see spiritually.

The most dangerous place to be is to have natural vision, but be spiritually blinded which then results in death and destruction – the place that God is calling us away from.

It is critical to see and respond to what God is revealing to us.

He keeps no secrets and wants us to truly get our lives in order because there will be a day when everything that He’s been giving – whether by visions, dreams, prophecies, or messages, will come to pass.

At that point, we will face our eternal destiny..

And the matter of it all would be,

Whose vision did we follow?

Our owns, other’s, or God’s?

I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it. Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal. There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them. I’ve warned you of them many times; sadly, I’m having to do it again. All they want is easy street. They hate Christ’s Cross. But easy street is a dead-end street. Those who live there make their bellies their gods; belches are their praise; all they can think of is their appetites. But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.
