Different Views

Sitting together on the sofa, I closely observed my children watch a movie. As I concentrated on the focus in their eyes, I could see that though they were watching the same movie, they were looking at different things.

While one was looking at something on the left side of the screen, another was looking at something on the right side. But regardless of what their perspective was, it was still the same movie they both watched.

In the same way, as adults, we all have different ways to serve – but we still serve the same God.

We read and hear the same Word – but we see things from different perspectives – and that’s ok.

There should never be any judgment on how one another interpret things because it is different than another.

If we perceive things the exact way, it would cancel God’s intention to make us unique.

Indeed we are all God’s children, but He’s called us to be peculiar people not only in the world but also within the body of Christ.

I would believe that if I were to ask my children the meaning of the movie, it would be the same.

Likewise, regardless of what our focus is in Christ, we all know that He is the only true living God, He is the only way to life, and that He loves us.

As we continue to believe God and fulfill the mission God entrusted us with, our different visions will soon come together and there will be a day when we see how everything works together for the good.

A MOMent to Reflect:

It’s always good to hear the different perspectives that people have because we then have the opportunity to see and know God in a different light.

There’s always something that we can gain and apply to our very lives so that we can be more productive and more focused on the task at hand.

Being different matters!

Having different perspectives matters!

It is needed and it is purposed to be used for the glory of God.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
