My son, Kyzer, has a tendency to stuff his mouth with food so that he can move on to getting his second round of food when he sees it readily available to get.
It always worries me when he do this and I have been teaching and training him on how to eat properly so that he is kept safe but is also able to enjoy the food.
This made me think of the many possible times that we, adults try to quickly move on to new blessings by prayer and petition for more, but fails to enjoy what we have right before us.
Father God desires us to acknowledge every blessing that we have received already, before we begin holding our hands out for the ones to come.
A MOMent to Reflect:
It is never a bad thing to thank and praise God in advance for the gifts and blessings He has in store for us. Hence, we ought to enjoy the beauty of the present that is before us – for He is worthy of it all.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good...”
