Take Control

After 5 years and counting (my years of raising children), I have yet found the answer to my question,

Why do children cry and fight against going to sleep when the opportunity to simply lay down and go to sleep awaits?

Absolutely no one or nothing stops them from going to sleep.

Understanding that they are not as wise as adults, they too, fail to realize that they are in control.

They have the power to change their situation just by doing what could be so simple, yet they make it complicated.

In the same way, we tend to find every reason to murmur, complain, and complicate our situation and fail to realize that we have the authority and power to change it.

Realistically, there are going to be people to fight against our plans to change, but we have a Father that is for us as we make the effort to change our situation. The Bible says “If God be for me, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

No one has more power over our own lives, unless we give it to them.

I believe that it pains God’s heart when we fail to recognize all that He has given us. As a result, we either misuse our power or not use it at all.

A MOMent to Reflect:

Everything around us can feel like it’s out of control and all over the place.

The good news is that we can change it.

It may take some time and a bit more effort than usual, but it will be worth it.

God will remove everything that is in the way of His will and plans for our lives.

We do not have to worry about opposition because our Heavenly Father has already gone before us and made everything possible.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬
