Everything about a baby is so cute and innocent to us.
When they make a mess, the cute cry, the tantrums (to a certain extent), and even their bodily wastes are pure – compared to an adult’s.
Once they get older, things that were cute, aren’t quite cute any longer.
Earlier this week, I picked up my daughter from the sofa after a short time of watching her favorite show, ‘Ms. Rachel’. She had just turned 1 and has been eating much of the same foods we eat.
As I kissed and loved on her, I smelled a very unpleasant scent and discovered that she had released a “load” in her pamper.
Being that she is still my child, my love and affection for her, followed with kisses, continued.
This is a moment I’ll never forget.
I witnessed firsthand of how this love moment with my child reflected the love God has for us – His children.
We too were innocent at one point, but then…. things began to change.
We later learned the differences between right from wrong and yes and no.
Sin came into the picture and let off a very unpleasant aroma (or scent) up to God.
BUT Even in that..
He still loves us.
He still sees the best in us.
He still fights for us.
He still calls us by name.
Because we are His children.
A MOMent to Reflect:
God’s love is unconditional. It goes beyond what we could think or imagine.
Even when we’ve made the biggest mess in our lives, our loving Father still loves us – and guess what else??
He’s there to clean us up and put on us a NEW garment!
“Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? It is exactly as the Scriptures say, “For you we face death all day long. We are like sheep on their way to be butchered.” In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us. I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love—not life or death, not angels or spirits, not the present or the future, and not powers above or powers below. Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord!”
